Today Tiff and I had lunch with Greg's mom, Pam Bowles. She remembers seeing me when I went to church with Tiffany in Charleston last September (October 1, actually), but we never actually met until today. We picked her up at the apartment in Pleasant Grove where she's living with her son, Scott, and his wife, Laura, and their dog, Hans. We also met Scott. Pam recently started work as a nurse at the American Fork hospital; while Greg's dad, Gregory, lives and works in Phoenix. It's kind of an interesting arrangement, but sometimes you have to do what you need to do for employment. Anyway, we went to lunch at Thai Village in American Fork. We had "the usual," and it was delicious, as usual. It was nice to meet Pam and have a good visit.
Tonight while Steven was at the MTC (I didn't go as I am still a little under the weather with my cold, plus it's nice to spend time with Tiff while she's here), Tiff an I watched "While You Were Sleeping." We love to watch that movie--especially at Christmas time. Steven said it was a good devotional. Elder Lance B. Wickman was the speaker. That's two weeks in a row I've missed now. I better shape up.
I talked to Karalie tonight. She's home, and she sounded pretty good. We decided to go ahead and cancel Mom and Dick's reservations at the Residence Inn since it doesn't look like they'll be coming up on Friday as planned. The weather probably won't be very good, and they didn't try to make shuttle reservations until it was too late. I think that's the last time we'll make plans to have them come up. I think they're in St. George for the duration.
