Tiff and Mitt at Charlie's Diner in Springfield, IL

Tiffany got to the diner at 6:00 a.m. this morning and was able to go right in. There was one seat left up at the front of the diner, and she got it! She enjoyed a breakfast of blueberry stuffed French toast and had a chance to greet Mitt. I was following along with live updates on the State Journal Register's web page:

6:04 a.m.--letting people in
6:15 a.m.--diner full
6:18 a.m.--everyone outside moved to pen for safety reasons
6:35 a.m.--about 50 people still outside
7:15 a.m.--Romney is here
7:22 a.m.--Romney getting ready to speak
7:32 a.m.--points out young people in room
7:34 a.m.--support for Keystone Pipeline
7:38 a.m.--needs two things: a pancake, for everyone to go vote tomorrow
7:40 a.m.--finished with formal speech, now greeting people

I didn't know that Tiffany had even gotten in until she sent me a picture/message of Mitt and Ann standing right by her. Way to go Tiff! She was inside the diner and not out in the "pen" with all those who hadn't been able to get in. She actually had one of the best seats in the house! She showed up on the State Journal Register home page, in the Chicago Sun Times, on CNN and on KSL news that we know of. What a fun way to start the day!
