Fun at the Barretts

This evening Grampa and I went over to the Barretts to stay with Riley and Sidney while Lindy took Camden to the "Family Beach Paradise Party" at her school. She was very excited to be wearing her swimsuit coverup, sunglasses and flip flops. I told her it was too cold and snowy for flip flops, but she assured me that she would run right in to the school. Grampa and I had fun with Riley and Sidney while they were gone. We had pizza and rootbeer for dinner. Sidney ate a whole piece (cut up) in no time. Riley enjoyed hers, too. During dinner Riley was telling us all about the blood and bones we have in our bodies. She said, "We even have bones in our tongue." When I laughed at that, she said, "That's what my teacher says" (only she pronounced it "saes"). We played with them for awhile, then got them in their pj's before Lindy and Camden came home. When Sidney heard the garage door go up she started saying "Ba-ba" (blanket) and making a beeline up the stairs. She was tired and knew when her mom got home she could go to bed. While Lindy was putting Sidney to bed, we read some stories then said prayers. Next stop for them: bed. They were both tired after such a busy evening. What a fun time we had!
